Man Accused of Cutting Elderly Woman's Throat Makes 1st Court Appearance

A South Arkansas man made his first court appearance on the charge of capital murder Monday afternoon.
Robert Harrison, 32, appeared before the judge in a Columbia County courtroom accused of killing 74-year-old Glenda Stroman in her Magnolia home in May 2012.
Prosecutors say DNA evidence taken from Stroman's home matched Harrison, leading to his arrest.
Money is believed to be the motive behind the murder, in which Stroman's throat was cut, according to prosecutors.
The victim's family is said to be happy that an arrest was made.
"Relieved as is the city of Magnolia and Columbia County. This case has been solved," says Columbia County Prosecutor David Butler. "I'm sure the whole community is much better off right now."
Harrison also faces charges of residential burglary and theft of property.
He could face the death penalty for the capital murder charge.
Harrison remains in the Columbia County Jail without bond, and will be arraigned on Thursday.

wow it takes a real lowlife to kill a 74 yr old woman, why dont we go back to public hanging at least that was a very painful way to die and that is exactly what this thing deserves
