A wildfire that started two days ago is still burning outside Hot Springs.

The blaze on Mt. Riante is under control but has kept eight fire crews on standby in the area to protect homes.

Officials say there have been some voluntary evacuations from the area.

During KARK 4 News at 6 p.m. Monday, Adam Rodriguez got a unique view of the fire from the air.  Click on the video to see his report.

Six of the fire crews on standby there are from departments around the area and the other crews are with the Arkansas Forestry Commission.

Mt. Riante is southwest of Lake Hamilton off Highway 7.

There is a second fire outbreak near Hot Springs, in the Mountain Pine area. Officials say about 100 acres has been burned by several different fires there.
