Camp Tetelestai Coming Soon

A local families dream to reach out to today's youth through a summer camp is one step closer to reality.
On any given day, teens flock to the Camp's home for a little fun during the summer months.
That's one reason Jim and Donna Camp decided start their own camp. The real motivation began when their teenager got involved in drugs and alcohol and after much heartache they realized teens need a place to escape and learn more about unconditional love --- that's when they founded Camp Tetelestai.
"We just believe God is gonna allow this to happen because our heart is right and we want to do good for the kids," explains Donna Camp.
"Helping the youth overcome the hardships they have in their lives, drugs, alcohol, many problems they have and felt we wanted to do that in this area, this community and help the children in this area," adds Jim Camp.
Now the camp's land is purchased and ready. Friends and family are already selling cookbooks as a fundraiser and teens are encouraging others to support this camp.
"Going to camp there's more likely to be games, activities and such to that not only do you learn the work - you act out the word," explains Valerie Thompson of her camp experience elsewhere.
"It's an awesome place to get to learn God's plan for your life and know there's someone there that's always gonna have their arms wrapped around you. It's an awesome place to be," agrees camper Yasmine Peterson.
April Reed agrees As psychological examiner in a local school district, Reed admits kids need a place where they can find hope and stability now more than ever, "You don't have any hope without faith. If you depend on things of this world, as many teens and others do, they change all the time, but God is and he's always there."
