Murder Charges Dropped against El Dorado Woman in Husband's Death

Murder charges have been dropped against an El Dorado woman who had been arrested after her husband's death earlier this year.
According to the Union County Sheriff's Office (UCSO), Velisa Island, 36, shot Gabriel Island, 37, in self defense.
The deadly shooting incident happened inside the couple's home back in March.
Gabriel Island had a history of domestic violence, the UCSO said.
The investigation is now closed.
