New Ramp Opening on Little Rock Side of Big Dam Bridge

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: July 31, 2012
Change comes tomorrow to the Little Rock side of the Big Dam Bridge.

A special ceremony on Wednesday morning opens the Big Dam Bridge Southwest Approach ramp.

The ramp will make it easier for walkers, runners and bicyclists to access the trail that heads towards Two Rivers Park and goes on to Pinnacle Mountain.

When the bridge was first built, funds were not available to include the ramp, but it became possible thanks to a federal grant.

People using the trail no longer have to take the southeast ramp under the bridge to get to the pathway.
