Drug Bust on Arkansas Freeway Finds 80 Pounds of Pot

A drug bust on an Arkansas freeway has turned up 80 pounds of pot.
Officers from the Arkansas Highway Police (AHP) Division of the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) uncovered the significant shipment of illegal drugs in a vehicle along Interstate 30 near Benton on Monday afternoon.
While on patrol, a Highway Police officer stopped a 2012 Chevrolet Impala for a traffic violation.
The AHP says the marijuana was found in the trunk of the car and it has an estimated street value of $40,000.
The driver was identified as Arron Harris, 28, of Beaver, Ohio. Harris and a passenger, Anthony Watson, 36, of Columbus, Ohio, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

if they dont give permission then they will simple detain you until the drug dog shows up and then if it alerts on the car then they have probable cause and will search the vehicle anyway so one or another they are going to search the vehicle, in this case to more idiots running drugs are now off the streets
