Update: Traffic Jam on I-30 Westbound through Benton

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: July 18, 2012
Update (9:40 a.m.):

Arkansas State Police say one westbound lane is now open.

Original Story (7:45 a.m.):

A big rig accident is causing a major traffic tie-up this morning on Interstate 30 westbound between Benton and the Highway 70 exit.

The freeway has been closed at the Haskell exit and traffic is being diverted off the interstate near Traskwood.

That means you will not make it to Highway 70 without major delays.

If your travel plans this morning take you toward Hot Springs or anywhere westbound on I-30 out of Little Rock, you may want to wait or find an alternate route.
