Imagine paying only $25.00 for a month of groceries.
Some consider it both a blessing and a bargain and it's all part of Angel Food Ministries.
In 1994, Angel Food Ministries began with 34 families in Monroe, Georgia.    Now the organization serves thousands of families every month across 20 states including 102 cities right here in Arkansas .
"You don't realize what's going to come up when something tragic happens like this. Things pop up one after the other and we all need help," explains Sandy Irwin about her experiences with Angel Food.
Sandy never imagined a box of food would change her life forever after the sudden loss of her husband last April.
"They'll place the order and in 2 weeks they come back and pick it up," explains coordinator Carolyn Ireton.
Blessings in a box, it's part of Angel Food Ministries mission to serve the elderly, low income families, and many others with low priced groceries.
"If you took the menu to a grocery store and priced it - I've had people go to Wal-Mart and they priced anywhere from $70-$95. And you can get it from me for $25," adds Ireton.
Carolyn and her husband started this ministry over a year ago in Malvern and each month it continues to flourish.
"We started out with like 20 and it's builded to 182 is the most we've had," says Ireton.
All you have to do is fill out an order form, check off what you want, and hand it over to the volunteers who submit it on-line to the national Angel Food Ministry. It's a simple savings that some say goes a long way.
"I have seen people come in and cry because we have helped them," says Ireton.
"It just give your a wonderful feeling to come down here and the people are good believing people," adds Irwin.
