Traffic Stop Nets Drug Bust

A Cabot man faces several drugs charges after a traffic stop leads to a drug bust.

It happened along highway 319 near the on ramp of highway 67/167 just after noon Wednesday when Lonoke county deputy Lt. Keenan Carter pulled over 29 Casey Pence for a traffic violation
.

Lt. Carter called on members of the Austin police department to bring k-9 dog to assist in the stop.

The dog found 15 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Pence was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
