A group hoping to have 24-hour casinos in Arkansas didn't meet requirements to make it to the November ballot.

Now while the group did collect the more than 78,000 signatures to get the constitutional amendment on the November ballot, the Secretary of State's office tells KARK that they didn't get enough of the signatures in the various geographic locations in the state.

In 3 of their designated 15 counties the group did not collect signatures from 5 % of people who voted in the last governor's election. That means they can't be on the ballot.

The leader of that group was unavailable for comment. The Secretary of State now will begin counting signatures on another casino ballot measure.
