A Lieutenant with the Pulaski County Sheriff's office has been placed on paid administrative leave after he reportedly rammed into a marina gate and caused $15,000 damage.
According to Garland County deputies, Lt. Corey Lawson got angry at his girlfriend at the Brady Mountain Marina Friday evening and pushed her. He then reportedly got into his Ford F-150 truck and rammed an electronic security gate twice, tearing it down. Deputies say he took off before being questioned.
Wednesday morning, Pulaski County Sheriff Doc Holladay placed Lt. Lawson on leave, pending the results of an internal investigation from their office. A spokesperson says they are also waiting to on the outcome of Garland County's criminal investigation before taking any further action.
Lt. Lawson has not been charged at this time, but deputies say he will likely face a felony for the amount of damage done.
