An Aspirin a Day May Keep Colon Cancer Away

 A review of randomized clinical trials testing the effects of aspirin found taking 300 milligrams of aspirin a day can lower the risk for colon cancer by 75 percent. The benefit was seen about 10 years after patients had started taking aspirin daily. Right now, it's only recommended someone at high risk for disease start aspirin therapy after talking to their doctor.
