A Springdale based Nanotech company announces a major science breakthrough.
The company, NanoMech, makes a product called TriboTuff.
It's a high tech lubricant for use in valves and pipes used primarily by the military or gas industry.
It reduces friction to near zero, driving performance of machines and vehicles up, while significantly decreasing the amount of fossil fuel used.
NanoMech announced TriboTuff will be used in Cameron's valves and flow equipment used extensively in the worldwide gas and oil supply chain.
Cameron is a leading provider of flow equipment products, systems and services to worldwide oil, gas and process industries.
The company was started in a business incubator at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and is headquartered in Springdale.
