The first outage happened Thursday. Crews switched power to a second transformer in the area while they worked on the malfunctioning one, said Julie Munsell, spokeswoman for Entergy.
The cause was a faulty wire which technicians replaced.
Power was restored by 12:30 pm on Friday but then that same transformer failed again on Monday, leaving 3,000 customers again without power.
Crews got power back on by 8 a.m. but they are still running tests on that transformer, Munsell said.
