University of Arkansas senior tight end Chris Gragg was named to the Mackey Award Watch List, it was announced Tuesday.

Gragg is the Razorbacks' leading returning receiver from last season as he caught a single-season career-high 41 passes, ranking third on the team, for a career-high 518 yards, which was the fourth-highest total among Razorbacks in 2011.

The Warren native tied for 11th in the SEC with his average of 3.2 receptions per game, and his 39.8 receiving yards per game ranked 14th in the conference.

In his career, he has caught 50 passes for 714 yards and four touchdowns. Gragg had five games with at least four receptions in 2011, including a single-game career-high eight for a career-high 119 yards and one touchdown in UA's 44-17 victory over Mississippi State.

The Mackey Award is given annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end by the Nassau County Sports Commission. The award recipient is selected by vote of the John Mackey Award Selection Committee.

The 2012 John Mackey winner will be presented live on December 6th at The Home Depot College Football Awards Red Carpet Show on ESPNU.

The semifinalists will be announced on November 12th, and finalists will be announced a week later.

Former Razorback D.J. Williams won the Mackey Award in 2010 to become the first Arkansas student-athlete to claim the honor.
