The report, completed by The BaxStarr Consulting Group, LLC, of Chicago, found that the visitor's program is a very successful activity environment. 2.47 million tourists visited the city just last year. $12.3 Million was generated in locally collected taxes in 2011, which is up 5% from the $11.4 collected taxes in 2009.

The increase in visitor activity also added 6,912 jobs in the city and county which is also a 5% increase from the 6,800 jobs in 2009.
Other revenue came from money generated through restaurants, hotels, and motels.
