Supplies Low for Salvation Army Food Pantries in Central Arkansas

The Salvation Army needs a helping hand to refill its nearly empty food pantries in Central Arkansas.

The agency says it's running out of food to give to needy families and needs donations of nonperishable food items.

Last month, The Salvation Army of Central Arkansas served 200 families through its food pantries.

Children out of school during the summer months generally means an increase in demand. Many of the families served by the Salvation Army find it difficult to provide healthy, balanced meals on limited budgets.
