Two Brush Fires Break out in Faulkner County, Homes Evacuated

The brush fire in the Lake Conway/Caney Creek area is now out.
It burned 10 to 15 acres.
Crews are still on the scene monitoring the scorched grass because anything could spark back up.
The fire got pretty close to two mobile homes-- and people were inside at the time but we are told no one was hurt.
A man living in one of them says his neighbor knocked on his door and told him his home was on fire. Lee Adkisson then ran out and tried to fight it himself before help arrived
Fire crews were able to stop it reached his home. The fire melted some of the home's siding.
A neighbor who saw the flames then started watering her grass because she saw flames jumping.

Emergency crews are on the scene of two brush fires in Faulkner County.
One is in the Lake Conway/Caney Creek area, where two mobile homes were reported burned before officials said that wasn't the case and the homes were only threatened by the fire.
The blaze broke out around noon along North Madrid Road.
In Mount Vernon, also in Faulkner County, emergency crews have evacuated several homes due to another brush fire.
That fire was quickly brought under control after it burned about a mile and half section of a field.
