36 year-old Alexander Peterson is behind bars in Baxter County after deputies say he crashed his van into a home while intoxicated.

It happened around 3:45 Saturday afternoon at 17 Hazelnut Circle in rural Mountain Home.  When deputies arrived, they discovered a large hole where the blue van had crashed through the side of the home and stopped inside the garage.

Witnesses pointed to Peterson as the driver, and he was arrested at the scene.  The home was heavily damaged in the crash, but no one was injured.

Peterson faces several charges, including driving while intoxicated and second degree criminal mischief.  He's held on $12,000 bond and is set to appear in Circuit Court July 12th.
