It is a violation of City Ordinance #10-1 to "discharge or cause the discharge of fireworks within the city limits, except as part of a display sponsored by patriotic or civic organizations celebrating Independence Day or other holidays or special occasions declared by mayoral proclamation, and upon certification by the chiefs of the fire and police departments that the display does not pose a fire danger or would be disruptive of the public peace and tranquility."
It is also a violation of AR law 05-38-310 if someone, "sets on fire or causes or procures to be set on fire any forest, brush, or other flammable material in violation of a burn ban on outdoor burning declared under AR law12-75-108."
The PBPD encourages people to attend the, "Red, White and Blues" event on July 4th at the Pine Bluff Regional Park waterfront where a fireworks display will be conducted by licensed, bonded and permitted technicians for the Pine Bluff Parks & Recreation Department and the Pine Bluff Festival Association.
