Someone poisoned 50 historic trees in Tontitown in northwest Arkansas.

According to the head of the parks department more than 70-pounds worth of herbicide was dumped into the ground sometime last fall.

City workers started noticing the problem in April and believe the 100-year-old trees will die soon.

If you have any information on who could be responsible please contact police.
