A new piece of land being proposed to the Little Rock Technology authority commission.

In a letter sent to Dr. Mary Good, chair of the Little Rock Tech Park commission, several local non-profits and businesses endorsed a plot of land in downtown Little Rock as a potential place to plant the tech park .

"A few years ago, about 10 acres between 6th and 8th streets were assembled by (lions) World services for a move that never materialized. That property, which is available, is surrounded by other commercial and industrial property that could be acquired without displacing any residential owners."

The letter also emphasized possible cost savings in the suggested location.

Pierre Ferrari, CEO of Heifer International, Jerry Jones, CLO of Acxiom Corporation, James "Skip" Rutherford of the University of Arkansas School of Public Service, Stephanie Streett, Executive Director of William J. Clinton Foundation and Everett Tucker, III of Moses Tucker Real Estate all signed the letter.
