I-630 Travel Alert: Lane Closures for Ray Winder Field Fence Removal

Crews tearing down Ray Winder Field in Little Rock will need to shutdown parts of Interstate 630 during the evening and overnight hours this week.
The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department says the removal of the fence will require the westbound outside lane to be closed nightly in the area between Cedar Street and Fair Park Boulevard.
The closures will continue through Wednesday during the hours of 7PM to 6AM.
In addition, on Thursday and Friday night, all three eastbound AND westbound lanes will need to be shutdown for 15-minute intervals between 1:30AM and 4:30AM.
Drivers are urged to be extra careful when approaching and traveling through the area of Interstate 630 near the ball field.
The former homestand of the Arkansas Travelers was sold by the city of Little Rock to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) last October for 1-point-3-million dollars.
The historic baseball park was built back in the 1930s.
The Travelers relocated to Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock more than five years ago, leaving Ray Winder Field empty.
