A car tire blowout on the I-40 killed one woman and injured two others Saturday.

State Police say just after midnight, the right rear tire on a Ford Explorer suddenly deflated at mile marker 172 in Lonoke County.

A passenger, Miranda Bogard, was thrown from the car and died from her injuries. She wasn't wearing her seat belt. Two others, who were wearing their seat belts, were hurt.

A 10-year-old and a 3-year-old involved in the crash, who were also buckled-up, weren't injured at all.
