Fire in Saline and Grant Counties Forcing Evacuations

Update at 4:30 pm:
The fire is 90 percent contained, according to firefighters.

About 300 acres total were burned, sixty people have been evacuated, about forty homes.

The crews will be patrolling the area for at least 24 areas, but hope the evacuaees will be allowed to return home in a few hours.

The cause is still under investigation.

Original Story:

Fire crews are working a large brush fire 15 miles south of Little Rock in the community of Hensley.

We're told the fire is currently west of I-530. Crews are preparing people in the area to evacuate. Fire departments are blocking roads in the area.

We have a crew on the scene and will bring you more details as soon as we have them.
