Pine Bluff Police are investigating an apparent robbery that has left an alleged suspect dead.

It happened just after 1:30 this morning along West 28th Avenue at a bank ATM machine.

When officers arrived, Ryan Bishop, 20, of Pine Bluff, told them a woman had jumped into his truck, held him at gunpoint and robbed him of his wallet.

Bishop said the woman then ordered him to drive to an ATM and withdraw cash.

The man told police he then fought with the woman over the gun and he shot her in self defense.

The woman has been identified as Tashara L. Banister, 22, of Pine Bluff. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
