Human Trafficking in Arkansas is a very real problem.

That's according to human rights groups such as The Polaris Project and Shared Hope. That's why today's summit at the Arkansas state capital is so important.

The summit is set to start at 10:00 Tuesday morning and will feature guests such as Lt. Gov. Mark Darr.

On the agenda will be discussions on strengthening anti-human trafficking laws and helping people in need here in Arkansas.

Arkansas Representative David Meeks joined KARK Tuesday morning to discuss his role in the summit and what organizers hope to achieve.
