The hot, humid days of summer leaves us wanting to run the air conditioner and just stay indoors, but unfortunately we just can't do that, If we do it surely will cost us --
Here's a few tips from Entergy on how to be more energy efficient and keep your summer bills down.
Set your thermostat to 78
Adjust water heater to 120.
And close your blinds to the sunny side
These are free, but here's one more that will cost you. However, in the end you will avoid those spikes in your bill.
"Get on level billing because your bill will be pretty much the same every month of the year cause it's averaged out over those 12 months," says David Lewis from Entergy.
Other good tips: wrap an insulation blanket around your water heater for about 15 dollars and caulk around your windows and door frames.
