White County Woman Dies When Car Goes off Highway 267

A White County woman has died after her car went off Highway 267.

It happened about 3:45 Sunday afternoon, claiming the life of Deborah L. Griffith, 53, of McRae.

Arkansas State Police say Griffith's 2003 Chevy Cavalier was headed south on Highway 267 when the car left the road, overcorrected and went off the road. Griffith's car then ran into an embankment and overturned.

The accident scene was about four miles from Highway 13.

According to the accident report, Griffith was not wearing a seat belt.
