Police said just after midnight they found a person shot and killed another injured on Estelle street.
Sunday friends of the family brought food and condolences to the home where Randy Shinkle, 28, lived.
Family of Shinkle told KARK they want "RJ" to be remembered as a loving and joyful person.
Police are still investigating the shooting and are not releasing details on possible suspects or motives.
The family said they too are in the dark about what exactly happened.
"The truck was stopped at the intersection of two roads," Fretz said, "Got out for whatever reason and that's when the gunfire happened and he was struck."
A passenger also in Shinkle's car was taken to the hospital but we're told they will be okay.
