University of Arkansas product Tyson Gay won his first first 100-meter qualifying heat in the U.S. Olympic trials Saturday recording a time of 10 seconds flat.

Gay has been out of action for the last year or so with a hip injury. He's now one race away from making the U.S. Olympic team.

2004 Olympic champion Justin Gatlin appears to be on his way to London. He won his heat in 9.90 seconds.

In the decathlon, Ashton Eaton was able to break the world record after earning more than 9,000 points. In doing that, Eaton also broke Dan O'Brien's 20-year-old American record.
