Water Leak Forces Out Residents at Plaza Towers Apartments

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: June 20, 2012

Just hours after tenants of the Plaza Tower Apartments were allowed back into their homes after a fire, water forces some of them out once again.

Little Rock Fire officials confirm the 9th floor of the apartment complex is being evacuated Wednesday night because of a water leak.

We are told other floors are not affected at this time. The cause of the leak is not known. The building does not have a sprinkler system.

A fire crew is on the scene to make sure the water is shut off and everyone is safe.

Last Monday, 200 people were evacuated after a fire at the complex. Wednesday afternoon, they were granted clearance to return.

One woman died as a result of injuries she sustained in that blaze. The cause of the fire is still not known at this time.
