Update: Four Teens Face Charges in West Little Rock Brush Fires

Update (Thursday 9:00 a.m.):
One of the teens facing charges in the case is Jordan Brooks, 19, of Little Rock. The other three are 17, 16, and 14-year-old boys.
According to the police report, Brooks and the other three suspects had blown up a mailboxes along Ferndale Cutoff that sparked three grass fires in the area around 11 o'clock Wednesday morning.
There were also reports in the area that fireworks were being thrown out of a moving car.
The grass fires burned at 8114 Ferndale Cutoff, Ferndale Cutoff at Denny Road and Ferndale Cutoff at Studer Road.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says it received calls for damage to three mailboxes caused by large fireworks, as well as six grass fires in the area with three of the fires tied to a 2003 Lexus.
The police report shows that all four of the teens were involved in the incidents and one of them set off a large firework in a wooded area near where the Little Rock Fire Department worked a fire earlier in the day. Police say a second teen helped while Brooks watched but the fourth teen was not there for that incident.
The extent of damage to the wooded area in Chenal Valley is not yet known.
Update ( Wednesday 8:45 pm):
Little Rock Police have arrested four teens in connection with the fire. Firefighters say they admitted to sparking the blaze.
Police believe they began the day blowing up a mailbox with fireworks in the Ferndale area. That is a federal crime.
The names of the teens are not being released because they are juveniles. Police have not decided what, if any, charges they will face.
No homes were damaged in the fire.
Update (8:00 pm):
The Little Rock Fire Department confirms the brush fire is out.
Update (5:15 pm):
Twelve fire engines from three different departments are fighting the brush fire.
Firefighters have warned residents of five homes in the area about the fire, but say it is under control on that side of the blaze and they should not be in danger.
Fire crews are beginning to take protective measures for homes on Hanna Lane just in case.
Update (4:20 pm):
Power is out at Cantrell Road and Taylor Loop Road, which includes traffic lights in the area. Little Rock Police say this is NOT because of the fire.

The Little Rock Fire Department is calling in more engines to battle the blaze.
They say it's difficult to fight because of steep terrain and winds that are pushing the winds to the north.
Firefighters have been on the scene since 3:45. They include multiple units from the Little Rock Fire Department and others from the West Pulaski Fire Department.
No homes have been threatened by the fire.

Little Rock Fire Department officials say the brush fire is between LaMarche Drive and Rahling Road.

No details are yet known about the exact location on that street, which runs off Highway 10/Cantrell Road.

if they let them get away with this, they will only do it again and the parents need to be charged with the cost of putting out the fire
