Early voting is underway for a special election in Magnolia.

The city is asking residents to support a quarter of a penny sales tax.

The money generated from the tax would help support city hall, as well as the police and fire departments.

If the tax passes, it will generate about 500-thousand dollars a year.

Magnolia residents can vote at the Columbia County Courthouse from now until Monday from 8AM to 4:30PM.

Election Day is Tuesday (June 26) and the polls will be open from 7:30AM to 7:30PM.
