The Battle of the Badges

By: Andrea Finney, KARK
Updated: June 19, 2012

Benton police and fire departments are going mono-e-mono today in a "Battle of the Badges" blood drive.

It's a competition to help support the American Red Cross.

Since schools and colleges, their primary source of donations, are out for summer, The Red Cross says they need donations now more than ever!

They encourage donors to take a side when they donate.

While each department wants to claim the title of most donations, it is just a friendly competition.

The blood drive is being held at the Northside Church of Christ in Benton from 1pm until 6pm today, June 19th.
