The first item is an ordinance from Director Ken Richardson, representing Ward 2, that would essentially limit the city from allocating taxpayer funds to acquire property for the Tech Park in residential areas that would displace homeowners.
Several objections have been raised from residents living in Ward 2, where locations for the Tech Park are being considered.
During that portion of the meeting, the results of a survey conducted by UAMS is also scheduled to be presented to provide feedback from those living in neighborhoods slated as the possible location. That portion, initially requested by the We Shall Not Be Moved Coalition, a group of homeowners that supports Richardson's ordinance.
The presentation will also be made to the Tech Park Authority Board at its meeting on June 20th.
A second item also on the agenda would allow the Board to urge the Tech Park Authority Board to continue studying possible site location of the Tech Park for another six months prior to selection.
