The much anticipated beginning of the College World Series, giving Razorback fans a summer time reason to cheer for their Hogs.

You could hear the call all over the state.

Fans in Little Rock celebrated their first win of the Series.

People were excited not just about the win, but also to be able to cheer for their team during the spring.

Of course Fall is the primary reason to call in the Hogs, but it could be heard it in full force Saturday (6/16) night.

"It's not Fall but we still got a reason to watch," said fan, Jeff Overstreet. He watched the game at Gusano's in Downtown Little Rock.

Summer time is normally off-season for a Razorback fan. Calling in the hogs is something generally saved for the Fall.

But not this year. It's "Omahog" time.

"It's great being a Razorback fan," Overstreet added. "We weren't expecting a lot but we're getting a lot."

It's the unexpected chance to gather and watch the state's favorite team.

Phyllischa Choate and her family were also at Gusano's watching the game.

"Of course they've always got the hogs on no matter what, whether it's baseball, basketball or football," she explained.

It's not every year they have the chance for their team to reach the college baseball pinnacle. Saturday night is just the beginning.

Jason French and his buddies watched the game at Gusano's as well.

"Two of us have decided that we're going next week if they win Monday night," he said. "So yeah, we're going to Omaha!"

A win Saturday night just means they're back at it on Monday, which is just another chance to cheer, or call in, the Hogs.

Overstreet said, "Day after tomorrow we'll be doing it again."
