Paying .75 per signature, a legal practice, but this group said this new effort is makin them more confident than ever they'll get on the ballot in November.
The chairman of Regnat Populus said since being backed by another Arkansas bipartisan group called the "Better Ethics Now Committee" they've seen an increase in attention for their cause.
This cause is meant to limit Arkansas politicians' ability to receive gifts and money from lobbyists.
They need more than 62,000 signatures to have the measure included on the November ballot.
The chairman said they've gathered thousands of signatures already, however don't have an estimate on exactly where they stand.
Especially since this is very much an on-going effort.
He said the addition of outside groups backing their cause as well as being able to pay signature gatherers has really heated support up for the cause.
"They're very much energized and ready to go," said Paul Spencer, "And we're in for the long haul but I think we're going to do it."
They have until July 6th .
