A busy South University convenience store was the site of an armed robbery.

Little Rock police say it happened just before 10 last night at the shell gas station at the 4100 block of South University Avenue.

A clerk told police a man entered the store - with a silver gun in hand and demanded money.

The man jumped over the counter and grabbed the cash register and ran out toward a wooded area behind the store.

Police say no one was injured in the robbery.
