NLR School District Sends Letters to Six Homeowners about Selling Property

The North Little Rock District has sent letters (see attachment below) to six homeowners who live around one of its elementary schools, seeking to buy their property.
The district confirmed the situation KARK 4 reported on this weekend, in the following statement:
"Letters were mailed out to six property owners in the Amboy area in North Little Rock with various offers for their property. The letters were sent to explore the interest that property owners in the Amboy area have in selling their property. This is one of several options available for the new school site at Amboy Elementary School. No decisions have been made by the North Little Rock School District or Board of Education regarding the property around Amboy Elementary School. No discussions have ensued regarding eminent domain."
Amboy Elementary is located in a neighborhood off MacArthur Drive, north of I-40.
