A major drug bust in White County has taken 59 grams of suspected methamphetamine off the street.

The Central Arkansas Drug Task Force (CADTF), White County Sheriff's Office (WCSO), Searcy Police Department (SPD), and federal authorities worked together on the case.

The WCSO says the meth was in the form known as Ice, and was valued at about $5,900.

Edwin Padilla, 29, of Searcy was arrested when officers seized the suspected drugs, as well as $1,800 in cash, the WCSO said.

Padilla is charged with Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver.

He's being held in the White County Detention Center on $200,000 bond.
