A big day for Pulaski Tech as the school broke ground on a new 52-thousand square foot culinary arts and hospitality management center.

The new facility will house a mock up hotel room and front desk, multi-purpose lab as well as a chocolate and candies lab for the culinary school's 500 students.

"We hadn't had the facilities to take care of them," says Todd Gold, Arkansas Culinary School Director, "we haven't ever had the facilities before to recruit outside the state walls and we'll have that ability now. "

The new facility has been designed to be leed certified, meaning it will be very sustainable and environmentally friendly.

The project will cost 15 million dollars and is expected to open in the fall of 2013.
