Condoleezza Rice Endorsing Romney

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is throwing her support behind Mitt Romney.
Rice was the first African American woman to lead the state department.     
She served as Secretary of State from 2005-2009 under former President George W. Bush. 

National Spelling Bee Finals


Today, the semi-finals and finals for the Scripps National Spelling Bee will be taking place in National Harbor, Maryland.
50 spellers will be competing in the semi-finals after 228 participants were eliminated during Wednesday's preliminaries.
Among the prizes the winner will receive $30,000 and an engraved trophy.

World No Smoking Day


Thursday is "World No Tobacco Day."
Every year, the world health organization designates May 31st to call attention to the health problems tobacco and cigarette smoking can cause.
The WHO says tobacco use is one of the leading preventable causes of death and it kills nearly six million people worldwide each year.
