Protesters Clash with Police at NATO Summit

Chicago police officers battled anti-NATO protesters Sunday.
Four officers were injured, and police arrested at least 45 protesters. One officer was stabbed in the leg.
At least a dozen protesters were also injured, according to lawyers for the demonstrators.
The focus inside the summit was on Afghanistan, missile defense, and preparing NATO for the future.

Deliberations Resume in Edwards Trial

The fate of former presidential candidate John Edwards remains in the hands of the jury.
Jury deliberations will resume today over whether John Edwards broke campaign finance laws.
Jurors deliberated for about five hours on Friday and made several requests for specific evidence before the judge dismissed them for the weekend.
Edwards is facing six criminal counts of campaign finance violations stemming from his 2008 candidacy.
If convicted, he could face up to 30 years in prison.

Obama's Commencement Speech in Joplin

It's been almost a year since a massive tornado ripped through Joplin, Missouri killing 161 people.
With the somber anniversary approaching, President Obama will deliver the commencement address at Joplin High School today.
The high school was destroyed by the powerful F-5 tornado.
The Joplin community is still working to re-build homes and businesses.
