England police officers chased a suspect through the town and in and out of Lonoke and Pulaski counties Sunday morning at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.

Police Chief Herman Hutton say around 6:00 Sunday morning, 34-year-old Robert Goodwin was following behind his girlfriend in an angry rage. Police say he rammed her car with his pick-up truck on highway 165. She called police and they picked up Goodwin's trail.

After flying down county roads, officers lost sight of him. He was later found hiding in a field in Pulaski county. Police say a K9 officer sniffed him out and bit him on the leg.

Goodwin is now charged with aggravated assault on his girlfriend and fleeing from police, among other charges. He is being held in the Lonoke County jail.

Police say a K9 officer sniffed him out and bit him on the leg. KARK, are you sure about that? Maybe it was the dog doing the biting instead of the officer.
