Local AM Buzz: "Operation Mother's Day" in Jefferson County, Redistricting Trial Enters Day Three

"Operation Mother's Day" that's the theme in Jefferson County today and tomorrow.
According to the Pine Bluff Commercial Appeal Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies will be attempting to locate and serve arrest warrants to people who are delinquent in paying court ordered child support.
During his campaign, Sheriff Gerald Robinson said he would hold deadbeat dads accountable for not supporting their children.
Those who owe are urged to pay up or risk being arrested during the operation.
Redistricting Trial Enters Day Three
The federal trial over state redistricting enters day three this morning.
State experts will continue to testify and say the redistricting is not infringing on black voters' rights.
Senator Crumbly and a number of other people in northeast Arkansas are suing the Governor, Attorney General and Secretary of State.
They claim the trio intended to reduce the power of the black vote when they redrew district lines last year.
Trial is expected to wrap up tomorrow.
The judge is considering a motion from the state to dismiss the whole thing.
A decision is expected on that within days.

New numbers show more than 57,000 people used the bridge from April 10th to May 7th.
By comparison, 100,000 people used the Big Dam Bridge for all of 2011.
