An Arkansas Democrat running for the U.S. House won't be headed for court.

Chambers Bank has dropped it's lawsuit against Q. Byrum Hurst Jr.

According to court documents, the bank was suing Hurst for allegedly defaulting on $65,000 and late fees as part of his mortgage on two properties.

Hurst would not comment on camera or on the phone but his campaign office did issue this
statement:"I have been confident all along that we would be able to resolve this issue favorably. I look forward to continuing to speak with 4th District voters about issues that matter to them."

The attorney representing the bank did not return our call seeking comment.

The suit was filed in Garland County Circuit Court.
