The verdict is guilty for a northeast Arkansas man in the retrial of a 1998 quadruple murder case.

Billy Green, 56, has been found guilty on four counts of capital murder in the killings of a man, woman and their two children. He was also convicted on one kidnapping charge.

He was sentenced to 4 consecutive life sentences without parole for the murders and a 40 year sentence for the kidnapping to run consecutive to the other life sentences.

The killings took place in the town of Dalton (Randolph County).

The man's son Charles "Chad" Green, 36, was convicted of capital murder in the case last year.

The victims in the case, Carl Elliott, 30; Lisa Elliott, 27; and their children, Felicia, 8 and Gregory, 6, were killed in July of 1998. Lisa Elliott and Gregory Elliott were found dead at their home, while Carl Elliott's body was found a few days later in the Eleven Point River. Felicia Elliott's remains were found in 2000 on Mud Creek in the Warm Springs area, not far from Green's home, according to court documents.

Prosecutors have said their deaths were retaliation for a drug deal gone bad.

Billy Green won a new trial when the state Supreme Court overturned his first conviction in the case over questions about some testimony.
