Parents Group Speaks Out Against Stern

By: CNN News
Updated: May 8, 2012
Companies that may advertise on the upcoming season of NBC's "America's Got Talent" got a sharp warning from a parents group Monday.

In a letter, the Parents Television Council said the show's new judge, Radio Host Howard Stern, has an affinity for profanity and degrading women, which he'll likely bring with him to the live show.  The council stopped short of calling for a boycott of advertisers but hinted it could happen.

In the past, Stern has said he plans to take his judging duties seriously.
