In It to Win It: Stand Off for Stuck on a Truck Competition

By: Marci Manley, KARK 4 News
Updated: May 3, 2012
Contestants in the Stuck On A Truck stand-off stretch their wills to drive away with a new set of wheels.

All of the contestants are amateur Arkansans, competing for the Ford F150.

One man, Brian Root, was disqualified from participating before the competition began after contest organizers discovered he's a self-dubbed "handathoner".

According to his Facebook page, Root lives in Miami but he registered for the Toad Suck Daze competition as a resident of Hot Springs.

Root has also authored websites that give people tips on how to win these type of contests. According to David Druey is running the contest, and he said contestants have to be Arkansas residents, and including professionals isn't in the spirit of the contest.

Last year's winner hung in there for right at 136 hours to walk away the winner. To watch the competition online, click here.
